Post rugby world cup

New Zealand has been alive with rugby for the past months. As we celebrate in the glory of being World Cup Champions, we also celebrate that Karen Proctor has been with Sekers/Maurice Kain for 25 years! To put this in perspective, she started with the company before New Zealand won the Rugby world cup in 1987. We thank Karen for her contribution to the business, and for her continued dedication over the years.

Karen’s achievement left me thinking – what does the Cup leave behind apart from a couple of flashy new stadiums, and some rugby players that probably will never walk the same….Something that grabbed my eye while recently in Wellington was the work of Gregor Kregar. These amazing sheep all in internationl rugby attire are sensational! I’ll let you draw your own conclusions as to the artists meaning. When I came back to the office and showed Fleur she immediately mentioned sheep in a paddock  – another fine World Cup inspired initiative (great pic Fleur)! This whacky flock has been adorned with Kiwi icons by local schools and community groups – fun to see.
